About Me

Everything started in France…

My adventure with French language began when I was 2,5 years old: my family and I left for France where I attended, for the first two years, French nursery school, and then, for five years, French primary school. From that period of my life, I took away a priceless skill: a native-speaker accent and pronunciation. Since then, French language has always been my passion…

Continuation of my French adventure …

When I returned to Poland at age ten, my wise and forward-looking mother subscribed “Mozaika francuska”, a monthly French magazine for young learners, which, I believe, helped me not to forget my French. It goes without saying that I decided to study French (as first language) at the Institute of Applied Linguistics, at Warsaw University. After five years, I obtained my Master’s degree (magister) with specialisations: teacher and translator of French language. Already during my university studies, I got passionate about French phonetics and pronunciation, and teaching this language (my Master’s thesis focused on language tests). In order to deepen my knowledge and specialized French vocabulary, I completed in France additional trainings on marketing, accounting and corporate finance, among others, at Université d’Angers, Institut Français de Gestion in Paris and, later, also at Crédit National in Paris.

My French professional path…

For five years, I was employed by the Representative Office of Crédit National at the French Embassy in Warsaw, and next, I worked, for more than ten years, as a self-employed Polish-French sworn translator in Warsaw. You can read the testimonials of some of my clients here Translations – Testimonials. In 2010, I co-created the contents of a website aimed at getting Polish children (aged 10-12) interested in French language: http://www.mowimypofrancusku.pl. As part of this project, I designed, among others, the French pronunciation lessons.

My quite long stint in London…

In 2014, I left for London where I taught, for more than seven years, French language to various age and ethnic groups. I helped my students in preparing for their GCSE, A-level and Westminster French Challenge examinations. I also hold the British Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ref. number 1384184, for teaching French.

In my lessons, I adopt an individual and comprehensive approach to each student, particularly paying attention to their correct French pronunciation.
